MSG - "If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me."

Eva Lucas is a dedicated Christian, certified Relationship & Life Skills Coach, and a State of Texas Detective with over 19 years of distinguished service. With a degree in Visual Communications and deep expertise as a Business Strategist, Eva excels in nonprofit succession planning, strategic partnerships, and corporate sponsorship development.
She is currently CEO of Sign Shares Inc., a language-access agency serving the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and foreign-speaking communities, and also advises on accessibility initiatives and outreach for language and advocacy programs.
Eva is also the Founder and Executive Director of Sharing J.C., a faith-based organization providing spiritual support to individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, grief, loss, and addiction. Through her compassionate one-on-one relationship and life coaching, she also supports individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)—helping them discover hope, healing, and purpose in Christ.
As COO and Marketing Director of United States Disabled Veterans (USDV), Eva combines her advocacy with action, managing grant writing, sponsorships, and strategic outreach that empower veteran communities nationwide. She also founded Protecting Texans, an initiative dedicated to providing education, resources, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
Eva’s testimony is the cornerstone of her mission. After surviving a life-threatening basilar artery stroke following the birth of her second child—and enduring six subsequent TIAs while managing a rare autoimmune disorder (CVID)—her life was radically transformed by faith. Her son’s diagnoses of Syringomyelia and Chiari Malformation Zero deepened her calling toward patient advocacy and medical communication, both nationally and internationally.
Her expertise spans HIPAA/HITECH compliance, ADA regulations, civil rights, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA). She continues to provide executive leadership and strategic consulting to organizations across healthcare, disability, and veteran sectors.
Above all, Eva lives a Christ-centered life, guided by the teachings of Jesus. Her walk of faith is grounded in service, healing, and empowerment. She is currently preparing to launch a disability-focused podcast and continues to create medical illustrations that merge art, advocacy, and awareness—keeping compassion and faith at the heart of all she does.
Favorite Poem: “The Shepherd” by William Blake
How sweet is the shepherd’s sweet lot!
From the morn to the evening he strays;
He shall follow his sheep all the day,
And his tongue shall be filled with praise.
For he hears the lambs’ innocent call,
And he hears the ewes’ tender reply;
He is watchful while they are in peace,
For they know when their shepherd is nigh.

Favorite scripture: Psalms 45:17
NIV - "I will make your name to be remembered in all generations.
Therefore the peoples shall give you thanks forever and ever."
Shannon was born with a learning disability called Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), which caused her to learn at a slower pace than others. With the loving support of her teacher, Mary Kris Knorr, she was taught how to read and write — a gift that changed her life.
At the age of nine, Shannon began piano lessons and discovered a natural musical ability, playing beautifully for almost ten years. With patience and encouragement from her teacher, she thrived and learned quickly.
In her early youth, Shannon was prescribed Ritalin and later learned she had been misdiagnosed. Because of her own experience, she understands youth who struggle with learning differences and those who have undergone speech therap
Shannon was raised and confirmed in Saint John Neumann Catholic Church in Austin, Texas, where she learned about the Bible through CCD classes. She attended Westlake High School, where she was in Special Education until her junior year, later graduating on time and with honors. She continued her education at Concordia Lutheran University and the Austin Community College System, where she found joy in dance and English literature.
Professionally, Shannon has dedicated over 26 years to serving the State of Texas through the Department of Agriculture in Operational Support. Prior to that, she worked in customer service, hospitality, and served as a Senate Messenger at the Texas State Capitol in Austin.
On a personal note, Shannon was married in 2008 and divorced in 2024. Through her own journey, she understands the pain of separation, feelings of loneliness, and the sense of being invisible. She offers support, empathy, and encouragement to others walking through similar valleys — reminding them to focus on healing through positive visualization and faith
God has always guided and protected Shannon from danger. She brings to Sharing JC a huge heart, unshakable faith, and a spirit of openness. She proudly wears her heart on her sleeve, encouraging others to deepen their relationship with Christ and to find peace in His promises
Favorite Poem – “Footprints in the Sand” by Mary Stevenso
“Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
‘You promised me, Lord, that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.’
The Lord replied,
‘The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.’”
